Donor Sheep Blood & Serum

Sheep blood from NLDB farm in Horakale, Sri Lanka is the most widely used animal blood product in culture media. Defibrinated sheep cells are aseptically collected whole sheep blood that has been processed to remove fibrin. This product contains no additives or preservatives. Defibrination is considered the best method for preventing blood clotting and must be performed immediately after drawing the blood. The agitation used during processing should be sufficient to denature the fibrinogen without causing rupture of the erythrocytes and haemolysis.
